The Koala is found in Australia. They are nocturnal and feed on eucalyptus leaves which are their main diet. They are tree dwellers and possess well developed toes for agile climbing. They have big toes on the hind feet and sometimes the first and second toes on the forefeet being opposed to the others, so that they have a strong grip on the branches. They are grey and have medium sized ears, small round eyes, and a large type muzzle. They spend more time in the trees than they do on the ground foraging. However, at present they are threatened and endangered throughout its range.
